Question:
I'm impresed by R46F Pylon engine , but I want to know the power generated , because I intend to replace my OS 46 VX DF
Answer:
We've got some data from our pilot that's running the 46 Pylon engine now. He writes '
'The Novarossi R46F Pylon is a 3 Plus Horse-Power engine with a 9x9 or 8x8 prop on the low end of the RPM range the 9x9 prop is around 17,000 RPM plus! The 8x8 tach's about 20,000 RP on the ground with 60 size Mac's pipe. I've also run a 10x7 that hits 17,200 for bigger .46 size planes. Also, a 10x7 is good depending on the air-frame for .40 to .46 size kits.'
