What rpm can I expect using the stock muffler on the cr .12f and with what propeller size?
Answer:
Thanks for your interest in Novarossi engines. The little CR12 comes out of the very competitive and demanding RC car market. It is a powerful and sturdy engine built to take the abuse in this application.
For aircraft use with props the RPM ratings don't translate into these kinds of numbers. With aircraft, it is all prop and aircraft drag dependent. I believe most engines are operated with props that produce RPMs in the upper teens to low 20s, again depending on the many variables.
When we started showing this engine we would tell customers that we bet they could not hold this engine without smiling. Worked every time as it is really cute.
